GREAT EXPECTATIONS FOR THE CEREMONY OF THE

GOLDEN PONY® AWARDS IN MOSCOW

A well-established spring tradition in Moscow for the leisure industry, the celebration of the Golden Pony® Awards will take place this year in March, more precisely on the 12th, in Hall 75 of the VVTS exhibition center. As usual it will be a side event of the international trade show RAAPA Expo 2014 (March 12-14), which is organized every year by RAAPA, the main Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.
This is the fourth Russian edition of the international Golden Pony® Awards event, established by Facto Edizioni in 2002. In 13 years the award has ‘anointed’ the excellence of no less than 257 international leisure facilities from over 40 countries around the world.
The large number of Golden Ponies® delivered over the years to structures and companies in the CIS countries – more than 40 – is a sign of the enormous growth that has characterized this ‘region’ in recent years as far as amusement is concerned as well as its great potential for the future.
Like in previous years, next month the coveted statuette representing a young pony will be given to 10 facilities that have attracted the attention of the Golden Pony® jury for the quality of their services and attractions, for their efficiency, for their interesting entertainment offerings, the theming and the innovative spirit of their managers. A group of nominees which of course reflects the latest industry trends in Russia ever closer to the international market trends as it is increasingly diversifying and qualifying its offer. After the boom of indoor entertainment centers in Russia and the CIS today there is huge development also of outdoor city parks with much renovation actually in process, either in the theming or in the attractions, the catering or entertainment. And the market is also enlarging and giving space to several other types of entertainment facilities such as adventure parks, multi-screen cinema complexes with dynamic theaters, themed playgrounds, science centers , zoos and last generation museums.
We then expect all of you on March 12th to celebrate with us the excellence of some of these new generation entertainment facilities as well as some the more traditional ones that have proved to be more attentive to innovation.
