/ The brand new Lindt Home of Chocolate is the perfect destination for families and lovers of fine chocolate /

As of last month, the world is another chocolate-themed attraction richer. With a spectacular grand opening in the presence of tennis star Roger Federer, in mid September the new Lindt Home of Chocolate opened its doors in Kilchberg, in the immediate vicinity of Zurich, adjacent to the historic Lindt factory building dating back to 1899.

With this extraordinary over 100 million franc (around 93 million euro) project, the Lindt Chocolate Competence Foundation is providing the general public with a chocolate experience in the form of an extensive information platform on the subject of chocolate. The new one-of-a-kind venue, in fact, includes different areas that offer visitors as many ways to explore and get a taste of what Maya considered ‘food of the gods’.

A family-friendly, interactive multimedia museum is the highlight of the Lindt Home of Chocolate. It covers some 1,500sq.m and it’s all about chocolate: young and old chocolate fans can learn fascinating information on cocoa cultivation and processing, the history of chocolate, the Swiss pioneers, the evolution of machinery used in chocolate production and much more.
