28 September 2020/ A new indoor waterpark officially opened in Poland a few days ago /
About 3 years after construction began, Suntago Water World, hailed as the largest indoor waterpark in Europe, has officially opened in the heart of Poland near the town of Mszczonów, 60km from Warsaw.
Covering 67,000sq.m on a 20ha area, the brand new facility is Phase 1 of a larger 400ha project called Park of Poland, also including a theme park, hotels and other accommodation facilities, a shopping center and conference venues. The developers are Global City Holdings (formerly Cinema City International), which is new to the parks industry but successfully operates in the multiplex and real estate sectors worldwide, and Germany-headquartered Wund Group, a highly experienced company in the waterpark and thermal baths sectors.
Thirty-two waterslides covering a distance of 3.2km, 18 swimming pools (3,500sq.m in total), 10 saunas and luxury spas, and a 40,000sq.m ‘tropical garden’ with over 700 palm trees and other exotic plants are the highlights of Suntago Water World, which can accomodate up to 10,000 people all year round.
