While theme park and fairground rides were still not operating due to the provisions adopted by nations to combat Covid-19, on Saturday 9 May a large Ferris wheel – a 55m portable Giant Wheel by Fabbri Group – started spinning in the city centre of Magdeburg, the capital of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, thus becoming the first portable attraction in Europe to start working after the lockdown due to the pandemic.

The giant wheel is owned by 2 brothers native of Magdeburg, Hendrik and Stefan Boos, and well-known in the business both because they belong to a family with deep roots in the travelling show (fifth generation) and because they have a great range of rides and attractions:  from major rides to children rides, as well as transportable restaurants and games stalls, which they take all over Germany and abroad, at times managing to independently organise entire events and festivals.

The owners are the brothers Hendrik and Stefan Boos.
