Madame Tussauds first opened its doors in 1835 in central London, and has nearly 200 years of heritage. Filled with amazingly lifelike wax figures, these museums are very popular giving visitors the opportunity to get closer to the stars, take ‘impossible’ selfies with historical personalities, politicians, music legends, heroes of sport, popular TV and film characters from yesterday and today, all featured in iconic and interactive settings.
To date there are over 20 Madame Tussauds museums around the world and they’re located in top destination cities – Las Vegas, Tokyo, Orlando, Sidney, Bangkok, Vienna, Amsterdam and more – attracting millions of guests annually.
Two new museums are set to open in the coming months, one in Dubai and the other one in Budapest. A first in the GCC and the 25th edition of the popular wax attraction, Madame Tussauds Dubai is debuting later this year and will be located within the popular island destination Bluewaters, next to Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel.
The new wax museum promises to leave tourists and residents feeling amazed, taking unforgettable memories with them. With 7 themed rooms and a total of 60 wax replicas of celebrities, guests can step into a Bollywood movie and take a picture with the Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, or make the impossible possible by taking a selfie with the beauty queen herself, Kylie Jenner. And that’s not all, guests can feel like a supermodel and have a once in lifetime experience posing next to Cara Delevingne and can even show off their football skills next to the football legend, Christiano Ronaldo.
