A unique double walkthrough attraction set in a futuristic fantasy world has recently debuted at OCT Group’s Fabland Valley Resort in Xiangyang, Hubei, China.
Called Hive Break and covering over 1,000 sqm, this 12-minute, immersive and interactive attraction features 2 parallel pathways with intertwining narratives. Therefore, guests choose to battle as pirates or bounty hunters in a sci-fi battle. Each path consists of 3 zones: a motion simulator, a training facility (interactive projection mapping), and an interactive theater.
Canada-based Triotech, market leader in interactive attractions, designed, developed and manufactured each component of this attraction, including the interactive projection mapping and custom media content. The queueing area simulates an interstellar port where guests are split into two groups of 16. Depending on which shuttle they board, they will meet their virtual guides, Chen or Korok, and experience a different side of their interconnected story.
The first component of each walkthrough is a motion simulator that replicates a space shuttle. It features 4K media content, a motion platform and special effects such as smoke and lights. Next, they proceed towards the Training Facility where they learn how to use…
