MSC Cruises has announced its new flagship MSC World Asia will be officially named at the end of November in Le Havre, and from December 2026 she will start her 7-night Mediterranean itineraries to iconic destinations including Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia (for Rome), Naples and Valletta (Malta).

Alongside these popular destinations, guests will also enjoy equally memorable onboard experiences. For the first time in Europe, for example, they will be able to experience “Cliffhanger,” MSC Cruises’ over-water swing ride towering 50m above the open sea, while Formula 1 fans and racing enthusiasts will enjoy “The MSC Formula Racer,” a 2-seat simulator allowing players to virtually drive a high-speed Formula 1 car.

The Longest Dry Slide at Sea

Unquestionably, one of the ship’s most distinctive attractions will be “The Spiral @ Tree of Life,” set to become the longest dry slide at sea.

At the heart of The Harbour – the revolutionary outdoor park where families can come together to engage in activities, indulge in delicious bites and soak up the sun – the Tree of Life will become a visual landmark and social hub where guests can gather before exploring the ship. From here, a unique elevated walkway wraps around the Tree of Life, leading guests to “The Spiral.”

Stretching 81.3m across 12 decks, “The Spiral” offers a fast and memorable way for guests to move around the ship while enjoying a unique onboard attraction designed for all ages. It links directly to the World Promenade, a key space for ocean views, dining, entertainment and relaxation.

In the evening, the Tree of Life becomes a focal point of onboard entertainment, enhanced by integrated lighting, music and activities that create an energetic atmosphere for families and groups.

Rising nearly 10m above the deck and weighing close to 8 tons, the “Tree of Life” is equipped with over 150m of integrated LED lighting, allowing its atmosphere and energy to evolve throughout the day.

Tying into the ship’s broader Asia-inspired elements, the “Tree of Life” is inspired by the identity of contemporary Asian cities and the iconic Supertrees of Singapore’s Marina Bay.
