Luxury As Care And Attention Toward Families

Families with children have been a growing market segment for years in the hospitality sector, and there are even dedicated hotels that have specialized their offerings with services, amenities, and packages designed specifically for this target audience.
We are talking about family hotels, properties that have much more than just a few swings in the garden, bottle warmers in the rooms, and diapers close at hand when parents find themselves without. Being a family hotel means understanding and responding to families’ needs even before they express them, and offering a fun, inspiring, and relaxing vacation to all members of the family.
The 4-star superior Cavallino Bianco in Ortisei, Val Gardena, at the foot of the Dolomites, Italy is an excellent example in this regard, so much so that it has earned the title of “Best Family Hotel in the World” awarded by Tripadvisor 6 times. And from the mountains, its philosophy has traveled down to the sea, leading last month to the opening of Cavallino Bianco Caorle-Venice, a 5-star luxury family beach resort overlooking the sea of the charming Venetian seaside resort, and built on a site formerly occupied by a summer camp.
Family Luxury
At Cavallino Bianco Caorle, every space adds value to family moments and demonstrates that authentic luxury is not about having more, but about experiencing time together better. The first impression for visitors is an elegant yet welcoming and intimate setting: a place built around contemporary families seeking beauty, comfort, and safety, but also emotion, spontaneity, and authentic presence.
The 101 spacious family suites – ranging from 46 to 118sq.m, all with a sea-view or seafront terrace – were designed to accommodate the actual rhythms of a family on vacation: separate areas for adults and children, double bathrooms – one of which is child-sized – a fully equipped pantry, smart amenities, and details designed to simplify every moment.
The sea is the resort’s grand horizon. Cavallino Bianco Caorle boasts a 5-hectare private beach awarded the Blue Flag, equipped with cabanas that offer privacy and comfort with king-size beds, armchairs, a table, a mini-fridge, dedicated play areas, and direct access to the sea. Water accompanies daily life at the resort also through 3 heated indoor/outdoor pools that welcome families and kids with water features, relaxation areas, and sunbreaks.

Lino Land And Adults-Only Offerings
As with the family hotel in Ortisei, the flagship feature in Caorle is the offering for children and teenagers: Lino Land, 750 square meters dedicated to the world of kids and teens. From the nursery to the areas for older kids and teenagers, every environment stimulates imagination, independence, creativity, and socializing in a protected environment. The bright colors of the illustrations, the animals, the themed maps, the games, the theater, the activities, and the presence of the mascot Lino transform the vacation into a small daily adventure. For the little ones, it is a world to explore; for parents, it brings the peace of mind that comes from knowing every detail has been thought out for them.
Alongside the moments dedicated to children, the resort also safeguards spaces reserved for adults. The wellness area spans over 4,000sq.m, featuring heated pools (including an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the pine forest and the Adriatic), saunas, a beauty farm, relaxation areas, and rejuvenation rituals where parents can find themselves and their own rhythm without stepping away from the family vacation.
To Each Their Own Restaurant
The gastronomic offering at Cavallino Bianco Caorle is divided into 3 restaurants: the Family Restaurant, designed for a convivial and family atmosphere; the Marco Polo-Adults-Only Restaurant, reserved for adult guests looking for a quieter and more elegant experience; and the Children’s Restaurant, a safe, playful, and tailor-made space for the little ones. Dining that follows the same principle as the entire resort: creating a balance between sharing, independence, pleasure, and freedom.
A Completely New Seaside Hotel
“A hotel of this kind does not yet exist on the Italian coasts,” notes Ralph A. Riffeser, CEO of the Cavallino Bianco group. Another unique feature – at least compared to the existing hotel offerings in the area – is that it remains open for 10 months a year, from Easter to Epiphany. The target audience is an affluent Italian clientele, but also international guests (from Europe, North America, and the Gulf nations) given its proximity to the Venice airport.
Next Stop Sirmione?
After the opening in Caorle, the Cavallino Bianco group could target something similar on Lake Garda: it has already acquired a plot of land in Sirmione, but bureaucracy has so far prevented the project from taking off. “There is a desire to open a Cavallino Bianco on Lake Garda and perhaps another resort in a highly attractive destination like a city of art, a spa town, or in a premium location,” confirms the CEO.
