/ About Indonesian market / Jakarta, the Indonesian capital, is home to over 14 million people and large shopping centers, family recreation centers and exhibition centers. Statistics show that Jakarta boasts 173 shopping malls and keeps developing five-star hotels, villas and apartments. Amusement park, as an important activity site, is usually built near shopping malls, commercial real estate and family entertainment centers. It is expected that amusement and leisure industry will maintain development in 10 years. The Indonesian economic development will drive an increase in middle class from 88 million this year to 135 million people in 2030, which will give rise to a higher public demand for family recreation facilities. The Indonesian government has attracted more funds through open policies. Given the rapid development of shopping malls and commercial real estates, indoor amusement parks and family entertainment centers (or FEC) can pull in a regular crowd to these sites. Indoor parks and FEC are in the majority of Indonesian market, and water parks and theme parks also keep growing. Indonesians are not in the habit of saving money, so they usually spend more money on daily amusement. Indonesia lies on the equator that makes for sunny and tropical weather all year round, thus, the locals prefer indoor activities, especially the shopping malls. Concurrent with the 5th Indonesian international TOYS & KIDS Expo.
